Neuro-divergent affirming assessments

I provide virtual neurodivergent-affirming screenings for Autism Spectrum Disorder in verbally expressive adults, evaluations for Complex-Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and other trauma-related disorders, and evaluations for emotional support animals for established clients.

For all screenings and evaluations, I use up to date assessment tools and research to help identify neurodivergent adults, women, and people of color that may have been left out previously due to differences in presentation in these groups. After each evaluation, I provide comprehensive and collaborative feedback including accommodation letters that can be used for personal, professional, and academic use.

*Assessments are state specific and can only be done with clients in Florida at the time of session.

Benefits to ASD Screening

Screenings for Autism Spectrum Disorder in adults serve as personal and professional validation of a suspected diagnosis, and can give insight about how to live a more sustainably comfortable life personally, academically, and vocationally. ASD screenings include background information about development across the lifespan, the MIDGAS-2 clinical interview, a battery of assessments like the RAADS-R, CAT-Q, and SPM-2, and a diagnostic report detailing diagnostic impression with personalized accommodations, and accommodations letters for school or work as needed.

Limitations for ASD Screening

First and foremost, an ASD Screening is not a formal diagnosis as accepted by state and federal governments for disability related benefits. For eligibility for disability benefits, evaluations must be completed by a psychologist, neurologist, or medical doctor, and often include in depth measures for intellectual disability, comorbidities, and executive functioning beyond the measures used in a screening. While the diagnostic report provided may be used as a stepping stone towards an adult evaluation and can be secondary documentation to substantiate diagnosis, it is typically not enough to receive benefits on its own.

Fees
